Self- esteem.

Self-esteem is the opinion we have of ourselves. Low self-esteem begins usually in childhood where parents were extremely critical. Or life events such as relationship breakdown or financial trouble can also cause low self-esteem.

But the most important thing about low self-esteem is that it is NOT YOUR FAULT!

If you have low self-esteem or confidence, you may hide yourself away from social situations, stop trying new things, and avoid things you find challenging. You may also develop unhelpful habits.

Therefore, in your JOURNEY, we will identify the negative beliefs you have about yourself, start writing them down and challenge them.

Then, through very powerful and direct questions, you will find the right answers to overcome them and accomplished freely your goals.

During our journey, we will not treat the past, but we will have a short look to identify the causes.

We will start from the present, re-frame it, change the perspective and start building a NEW foundation based on a strong and durable NEW belief.

I design sessions to meet your specific needs, but in general we work together to:

  • Identify triggers of low confidence

  • Look at past events, how they’ve influenced your confidence and change how you respond to them unconsciously

  • Learn strategies to make yourself feel more comfortable and confident

  • Let go of any negative habits getting in the way

  • Build on what works for you already

Stress. Anxiety. Burnout.

According to the APA (American Psychological Association), there is a fine line between stress and anxiety. Both are emotional responses, but stress is usually caused by an external trigger. The trigger can be either short-term (a deadline or an argument with a loved one) or long-term (inability to work, a chronic illness ...). Stressed people have mental and physical symptoms such as irritability, anger, fatigue, muscle aches, digestive problems and difficulty sleeping. 

Anxiety, on the other hand, is defined by persistent, excessive worries that remain even in the absence of a stressor. Anxiety leads to an almost identical set of symptoms as stress.

Most of the time it is not the event itself that causes stress, but our reaction to it.

The purpose of our trip is to give you a sense of space, reflection and clarity. To help you understand the root causes, rather than "fixing" the symptoms. This is done through a series of conversations in which I will ask questions to help you understand and to offer perspectives or reflections that you may not have considered.

One of the methodologies we use is CBC (Cognitive Behavioral Coaching), which is inspired by CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), used in therapy by therapists.

CBC does not look at dysfunctions and does not delve into your past. As a coach, I do not focus on healing emotions (however, they can occur) and I do not explore the pathology to understand your problems. Together we are solution-oriented, from the present to the future.

Sometimes we can't control what stressful events happen to us.

By working with me, you can develop your emotional resilience, so that you can better manage stress, pressure, anxiety, burnout.

Fear.

We are all afraid. Don’t wait for the fear to disappear. Fear dictates the actions you take.

The fear it can manifest as worry, nervousness, phobias, anxiety and depression.

Many of us try to avoid fear. Many are relying on food, substances, and social media as a way to create a false sense of relaxation.

All of these things actually feed fear because they overstimulate rather than relax us.

The good news is there is something that you can do about it.

If you’re having trouble overcoming your fears, I, as your coach, can be your trustable partner.

I can help you to recognize that you hold the power to make you feel safe and that the fear is an old story that you can stop replaying.

If you are afraid to take action, if your confidence isn’t where it should be, if you are afraid you will never find your purpose or passion in life, fear of becoming a parent, fear that you’ve made the wrong choices in life, fear of speaking in public, I can help you to find clarity and guide you to a more proactive path:

  1. Identify your root causes for fears: why you feel the way you feel. that is the most important so that we can move forward.

  2. Take action: people can spend years trying to rid, ignore, repress their fears but through our journeys I can help you to integrate fear, call it out and face it.

  3. Feel your fear and work with it, not against it

  4. Learn how to use it as a force for success

  5. Transform the way you think about your fears today and shift your perspective so that your focus is on emphasizing your positive traits, instead of focusing on limiting beliefs.

Stage 1: Chemistry meeting

Pre-meet/ introductory conversation: this type of meeting is a free of charge 30 minutes (video)phone call, followed by a confirmation email. The aims are:

  1. To get to know each other a little

  2. To understand the background to coaching: why you consider coaching?

  3. To understand the broad areas, you’d like to focus on (confidence, influence, change, productivity, finances…)

  4. To talk generally about how coaching works 

  5. To discuss the logistics of the coaching process: How, Where, When

  6. To answer any questions, you might have: e.g. confidentiality 

  7. To understand your need: to send additional information, cost…

  8. To agree the best way to get started: e.g. availability

Stage 2: Define Goals & Objectives (Business)

Your potential Business Objectives:

We will build awareness; we will learn, and we will change. 

At this stage we will use also support activities and tools such as:

  1. Personality/ behavioral profiling: MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator), DISC assessment ((D)ominance, (i)nfluence, (S)teadiness and (C)onscientiousness), Enneagram test, Belbin test etc.

  2. Encourage self-study: books recommendation, TED Talks

  3. Written reflection: keep a learning diary 

  4. Practice which encourages awareness: meditation, mindfulness…

Stage 4: Completions

Final stage, we acknowledge key points of progress:

  1. Identify your sense of future direction 

  2. Ensure your support going forward: self-study, courses, seminars…

The methodology.

We will use in our sessions some special, customized and very powerful techniques, organized in 3 levels: (SBP methodology)

Level 1: Socratic questioning 

Most of our beliefs, values and results in life come from the answers to the questions we ask ourselves.  During my coaching process you will learn how to make better questions and hence get better answers.

Level 2: Cognitive behavioural coaching - CBC

How I get unstuck and how i can overcome procrastination? How I stop self-sabotaging my thoughts and behaviors? How I can stop negative thinking and feel more optimistic? CBC allows you to answer these questions, create a path to change which is clear, challenging, realistic and long lasting.

Level 3: Strategic planning

Now that you know what you want and what might stop you, it’s time to create the micro routines that will make it a reality.

Hi, I am Rares :-)

it was in a winter in 1995 when, travelling somewhere in a small city in Transylvania in a freezing old train, we stopped before entering in our rail station. Due to the single-track railway, we had to share it with the very modern and cozy international train coming from Bucharest. A train full of light and very elegant people.

I was so impressed by that image and so fascinated, that I told myself: in few years I want to be in that train, reading a newspaper while enjoying a big coffee in the Restaurant Wagon.

It was in 2001, six years later, when I joined my father to his train to his return journey. We were in the rail station in Bucharest.

It seems my dream to move here was so strong

that finally, after years of planning and intense preparation, I was admitted at one of the top Universities in Bucharest. Therefore, I packed my things and moved there.

After 1 month, I went again in Bucharest rail station, bought a newspaper (the name was Capital, I remember even now), get on that modern and cozy international train, sitting for hours in the Restaurant Wagon with a big coffee in front of me, preparing for my next life important journeys (job, career, friends…). After few hours, the train arrived at that single-track railway place and looking through my window I saw that old and freezing train where I sat, dreamed and hoped 6 years ago.

It gave me that fantastic feelings of accomplishment, freedom, happiness, purpose. That extraordinary moment of leaving behind all the fears, all the worries, lack of confidence.

What an extraordinary life journey!

I am, and I always was, passionate about people. I am passionate about empowering people so that they may find their own wings, so that they may fly, transformed, excited and passionate about their own lives.

During my 15 years in management and executive positions in multinational companies, I spend hundreds of hours giving and receiving mentorship . I also have built a broad and in-depth knowledge of many subjects which support personal and business development, such as communication skills, people management and team building, project management, presentation skills, time management, stress management, work-life balance, and so on.

By sharing passion, courage, perseverance, determination, we were able to deliver millions of EURO in challenging business environments.

And when all the effort and the intense work are recognize from the business community (voted in top 100 CEOs from Romania, in top 10 young managers from Romania (when I was young :-), in top 1000 the most important business people in Romania) it meant to me an acknowledgment of a job well done and justification for the agony and the self-doubt.

Today, I am taking another Journey. I know that being a Life and Business Coach will bring huge responsibility in guiding you to achieve your goals.

For me it is more than a journey. It is a calling!
